Namjun Hur

Namjun has over ten years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, spanning research, regulatory affairs, marketing, business development, and strategic investments. Prior to joining LG Technology Ventures, Namjun spent a year on the investment team at LG Corp, the holding company of the LG Group, where he carried out strategic investments in innovative biotech companies to foster collaboration opportunities with LG Chem Life Sciences Division. Before that, he spent five years with the overseas marketing and business development team within the Primary Care Division of LG Chem Life Sciences. There, he led the global marketing strategy and commercialization for the Zemiglo franchise, Korea's first domestically approved DPP-4 inhibitor anti-diabetic drug family. During his tenure, he collaborated with multiple global and local pharmaceutical partners to successfully launch these products across several countries in Asia and South America. Namjun began his career as a genomics research lab assistant during his three-year alternative military service in South Korea, later joining Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Korea’s regulatory affairs and pharmacovigilance team. Namjun holds a MSc in Drug Discovery and Pharma Management from University College London (UCL) and a BSc in Biochemistry from Queen Mary University of London. Having lived in the UK for over 25 years, he is naturally a passionate football fan, closely following the English Premier League and playing the sport whenever he gets the chance.
