Prior to joining LG Technology Ventures, Jinha worked in LG Display for more than 15 years, and had various experiences for recent 9 years in the open innovation field including OI planning, technology scouting, startup incubating/accelerating, global external network communication and national project management. Jinha established open innovation strategies and discovered emerging technologies in the fields of OLED materials, quantum dots, and micro LEDs for future display preparation and discussed business models with global partners(Merck, JNC, Nanosys, Imec, PlayNitride etc) and led over dozens of contracts such as JDA(Joint development agreement), MEA(Material Evaluation Agreement), TTA(Technology Transfer Agreement) successfully. Jinha also set up internal/external startup incubating and accelerating programs of LG Display and operated those initially. Before that, Jinha managed a number of national projects, cooperated with the ‘Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning’ and the ‘Korean Display Industry Association’, and explored EU national projects such as Eureka, FP7, and Horizon 2020 to expand cooperation opportunities. Jinha began his career in the display material purchasing team in 2006. Jinha has experienced most of the display materials including liquid crystal, photoresist, chemical, target, and especially focused on material replacement evaluation for cost innovation. Jinha set up the entire evaluation process from TFT, CF fabrication to display module reliability test and also participated in the evaluation directly to analyze and improve defects, so that he successfully led multi-million dollars cost innovations by replacement of liquid crystal. Jinha holds and B.S in Material Engineering from Pusan National University, South Korea. Jinha like playing golf, listening and singing Music.
