Hyeonjeong Son

Hyeonjeong began her career at POSCO America, a subsidiary of global steel manufacturer POSCO, where she spent five years in accounting roles and progressed from Staff Accountant to Senior Accountant. Her responsibilities included financial closing and reporting, budget and expenditure analysis, and coordination of internal and external audits. Currently, Hyeonjeong serves as a Fund Accountant at LG Technology Ventures, where she is responsible for fund accounting and financial reporting across multiple funds. Her work includes managing monthly, quarterly, and annual fund closings, overseeing fund expenses and capital activities, and coordinating annual fund audits. She also supports the valuation of portfolio investments and performs impairment testing by reviewing portfolio company financial performance, liquidity, funding activities, and other quantitative and qualitative indicators. In addition, she serves as a key point of contact for fund-related accounting matters, working closely with internal teams, external auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Hyeonjeong holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, playing golf, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her cats.
